Of course, this does not mean we will see NATO military equipment or troops permanently stationed in the Indo-Pacific. Nor would it be realistic to expect the Indo-Pacific countries’ military contributions to Ukraine to lead to a more permanent set-up in Europe.
Yes of course that will never happen as a consequence of these developments.

Do you really think if Hawaii was attacked it will be not be covered because in the Pacific ? From the start NATO was in the Pacific and from early on countries with no border with north Atlantic were part of it.
It is just a name, the original one was "Treaty of Alliance and Mutual Assistance between the United Kingdom and France" then it became "The Western Union" when Benelux joined then it became "NATO" when the US joined.
From the beginning these alliance are bound to evolve be it extending or rescinding and be it one way or another. It is just a name. If you want to complain, it should be about the fact they should have renamed it long ago as some people seems to easily misunderstand.

Were the world truly "tired" of NATO as you claim, there wouldn't be more countries lining up to join their ranks.
Frankly, the world can see that the US is the only thing stopping China from "reuniting" with Taiwan. In a world where China is a growing military threat to their neighbors, the US is seen more and more as the only bulwark to caving to Chinese aggressions. As such, everyone within reach of China's terrible logistical support are more than happy to kiss up to the US.

NATO expansion? Again??? But we're always told it's just a fluffy association, sitting there minding its own business. It definitely played an important role during the Cold War (and I served in the UK armed forces during that time), but it should have been disbanded on the same day that the Warsaw Pact was disbanded, 1 July 1991. All it seems to do now is stir up trouble and bomb small/poor countries like Libya and Serbia.

If you mean the American government is always one step ahead of the American people, I agree. But with American education the way it is, that's not too hard.

The commerce of most NATO member nations pass through oceans that are the subject of ownership claims bu China or along sea lanes potentially threatened by a growing Chinese military capability. If China were to start sinking ships owned by CMA-CGM, Hapaag Lloyd or MSC for example because China didn't get its way on some matter of importance to them then European navies and air forces will need to operate along those sea lanes to protect that shipping. Asian military forces will want to be able to know NATO standard procedures and be well practiced operating with European forces, just in case. The training gives Asian nations some options and they will learn operational art from NATO.
The Chinese have no one to blame for this but themselves by their belligerence and their illegal claims to international waters.
