The same type of behavior in Germany would find one arrested by the police

> You are actually incorrect. These people are an extremely small minority with no influence. No more significant than cosplayers. The real right wing with influence don't do these silly things.

Donning copies of the Japanese Imperial Army uniform, waving the Hinomaru flag, brandishing guns etc

Just what is the impression that is being given?

Love and peace, it is not

What must tourists from Asia think when they see such gross insensitivity?

And Japan is steadily heading towards a more governmental militaristic outlook (as if you didn’t know)

In more enlightened countries there would be penalties for such stupidity but in Japan it is tolerated.

So, tell me that it is all fine in a country that cannot even teach school history without censoring it first!

It seems as if the spirit of Japanese nationalism is still alive and well in the grounds of Yasukuni shrine by the look of things

Not forgetting that the Japanese government collects taxes on everything that is imported, produced and sold in Japan.

Clothes, food, books and other essentials are taxed at 8% at the cash register - no wonder the average Japanese is not considering having kids

NHK is warning residents to stay clear of windows and keep curtains drawn due to the dangers of them being blown out by strong wind!

Try as Mr Kim might, his regime will never be able to produce as many atomic weapons as the US which managed to level Pyongyang in the 20th century with conventional weapons.

These events (abductions) were certainly traumatic for those families but why are events that occurred 40-50 years ago being made into an issue now?

Matsuno said he is sorry the government has been unable to secure the return of a single abductee from North Korea since the first five came home in 2002.

Since when has the Japanese government made North Korean rapprochement an objective?

Which Japanese PM has instigated a dialogue with NK since 2002?

Has it ever been explained why the North Korea might harbor ill will against Japan and its citizens?

So much not done and said but that is Japan…
