If the first part of the new Indiana Jones film is AI,real stunt people have nothing to fear for a while.

Total pants.

All good points well made.

Perhaps changing lifestyle culture during summer, ala South East Asia, the Middle East, Southern Europe and Africa, might be a wise move.

Work at cooler times, rest during peak heat.

I know that I'm talking to myself, though.

@Bad Haircut

Ha!Classic.

Dukes of Hazzard,The A-Team,Knight rider,Manimal,Blue Thunder,Police Squad, Northern Exposure,MacGyver,Hercules,Xena etc for U.S.A Sat afternoon series.

Lovejoy,Poirot,All Creatures,Pie in the Sky,Jeeves and Wooster,Tales of the Unexpected,Life and Loves of a She-Devil, Kingsley Amis's The Green Man,The Darling Buds of May for example on Sunday evenings.

Reeves and Mortimer,Blackadder,Alas Smith and Jones,Big Train,The Crystal Maze(with O'Brien),Drop the Dead Donkey,Brass Eye for weekday comedy.

Stopped watching telly regularly after starting uni in '92,then stationed overseas mostly ever since.

Funniest memory is watching Baywatch on an ancient Sony TV in a Buddhist monastery in eastern Tibet with fifty hardened Khampa guerilla fighters.

They were lapping it up!

Taller and more athletic Swedes.

Always an excuse.

Posted in: Once a home is more than 10 or 15 years old, its value is worse than nothing because of the cost of demolishing it. Land without anything on it has a higher value than land with a pre-owned house on it. See in context

Most of the land and older houses here on Amami is overpriced and/or offlimits, due to locals' greed ,and incomers' speculation.

Therefore, cheapass 'mansion' apartments are proliferating, due to subsidies on renting for teachers and government staff.

It's a disgrace.

Posted in: What are some of the best museums in Japan? See in context

Most museums here are fusty,dusty,hands-off antiquated displays of dilapidated mannequins and badly labelled rocks.

Funnel some of the town hall moolah into making these places into interactive,child-friendly spaces, and then we're talking.

You're right.

Japanese still not prepared to admit past atrocities, whilst the victimhood card still plays strong.

Is this what Japan has come to?

Relying on tourism for their economy?

Hardly worthy of a G7 member.

My grandfathers were both fighting against these invaders during the Second World War.

My father found some of them ,still resolutely Imperial, during The Confrontation in Borneo during the'60s.

Obviously,the good luck didn't work.
