Question is, it might be harder to find 12 jurors to convict especially if you prosecution is trying to show intent on the Presidents mind and what his state of mind was, it’s definitely not a clear cut case.

Well it’s definitely not clear what his state of mind was.

Trumped up over-produced charges

They’re that easy to come up with because he makes it that easy.

Correction, he’s innocent until proven guilty, and the only thing that these indictments are doing, it’s just making the guy stronger and more popular

Ok, it’s actually quite sad that Trump’s biggest supporters speak proudly of their own convictions. It really does say a lot.

It’s actually quite sad watching Trump’s supporters trying to defend his criminality with their own.

so now a cargo ship is a “civilian” ship.

what’s the cargo?

Obviously nothing to cause the Russians any concern.

The Russian military boarded the vessel with the help of a Ka-29 helicopter, the ministry said.

"After the inspection group completed its work on board, the Sukru Okan continued on its way to the port of Izmail," the defense ministry said.

Where can I get one of these Jackets so I can look important?

Maybe Donki? Make sure to get the extra bling.

Better late than never.

Agreed. Regardless of how some people want to frame it, it’s long overdue. Complacency has been the way for far too long.

You’re correct djdenki. It should be “Nigerien”

Should be "Nigerien" instead of "Negerian" which is understandably a common error.

Not “Nigeran”? Whatever it is, the article uses “Nigerian” which is incorrect when talking about people from Niger.

That's great to have dreams and all,

“Chasing Dreams”. It’s the name of the documentary. They’re fantasizing about invading Taiwan.

Fan Lizhong, a special tactics unit commander, said in the docuseries that while losing comrades is painful, he has to remain calm to respond to emergencies and always be ready to fight.

How many “comrades” has he actually lost already? If he would answer none, then he might not realize how hard it is to remain calm under such circumstances.

Does this article apply to us in Japan? — particularly when the programming on Netflix and Prime differs from that offered in the U.S.

Often that’s the case, but I just checked Netflix and that Heart of Stone movie is being released on August 11 in Japan too.

Embarrassingly poor security, quite a nice op from Greenpeace.

Yep. Well done on this one Greenpeace. Got attention and DIDN’T do any actual damage to anyone or anything. Respect for that.

Posted in: How useful do you find customer reviews on shopping sites such as Amazon and Rakuten? See in context

Yeah, don't fall for those that have a heap of 5 star ratings and don't pay too much attention to the 1 star ratings. I sometimes check the reviews to find out if there is anything that might be helpful regarding product features, not so much for how good or bad something is. Different people have different needs so maybe they've bought something that doesn't suit and leave a bad review for something that is perfect for another person, or vice versa. Also, if I'm really interested in getting something, I'll check reviews on Youtube or Reddit as well.

So, if someone they’re blackmailing is actually guilty and pays them… do they just let it go? Covering up a crime for money? These guys aren’t solving any problem, they’re just taking advantage of it and allowing it to continue. No, just catch the offender and report them. That’s the only thing to do.

Some people seem to misunderstand what is going on here. The drone attacks inside Russia ARE the payback. As somebody said yesterday, attacks on civilians don’t weaken resolve, they strengthen it. You can guarantee there is going to be more happening in Russia.

another poster said it was almost certainly not US supplied drones.

the way to prove that would be to show the US is not supplying drones, but they are,

So why so confident its not US drones. cause of course they are.

It can’t at this stage be proved either way. Nobody said the U.S. isn’t supplying drones. That doesn’t mean U.S. drones were used in the attacks on Russian soil. Ukraine also has drones which were not supplied by the U.S.

Did they? Prove it.

Posted in: Ukraine reports bringing war deep into Russia with attacks on Moscow and border region See in context

@EFD - I don’t think things are going to end for Russia now, regardless of whether they pull back within their own border or not. One of the original reasons stated for the invasion was to guarantee the safety of Russian citizens… but as these attacks within Russia have only started since the invasion and become more frequent, it shows things have been made much worse. This is going to last generations, and Russia will have its own 9/11 moments because of this. Putin has been the worst lesser possible for the Russian people.

You forget the Ukrainians we’re doing this to their own Russian speaking citizens waaaaaay before Russia ended it with the invasion.

And Russian backed separatists were doing it to Ukrainians. So yeah. Typical.

From zero attacks inside Russia prior to the invasion, to three in a week. Yep, Putin’s plan to keep Russians safe is working extremely well.

Attacks against civilians don't weaken resolve, they strengthen it.

And you’re wondering why the attacks inside Russia are becoming more frequent.

Posted in: Have you ever been stopped by Japanese police, and if so, what for? See in context

I have even overtaken a small police car with it light flashing doing 40kph in a 50 kph zone and did not get pull over.

Yep, I crossed the road against a red and a young cop on a bicycle stopped a bunch of others for doing it but let me walk right on by. I’ve ridden past a koban with a refreshing beer and even called out “good morning” To the three officers standing outside and they just responded in kind. Small things that they can stop you for (the beer while riding, not the good morning), but they just let it go.

Maybe it’s just luck, and it’ll probably run out one day, but I’m yet to be stopped. It’s actually really surprising how often some people get stopped.

I would believe once or twice but "never " hard to believe.

Sorry to break it to you, but no, I have never been stopped. Not once. Not for a bicycle check, not for an ID check, nothing. I have spoken to police to ask for directions, but never once have they asked me for ID.
