It seems as if the spirit of Japanese nationalism is still alive and well in the grounds of Yasukuni shrine by the look of things

You are actually incorrect. These people are an extremely small minority with no influence. No more significant than cosplayers. The real right wing with influence don't do these silly things.

Don't bring up Koreans whenever it suits your agenda. Most Koreans want that shrine gone and for their ancestors' remains to be returned to their homeland.

Oh I see, I must not mention actual facts if it interferes with your agenda. And what qualification do you have to speak on behalf of the majority of South Korean nationals?

South Korea is "showing interest" but they are still not domestically ready. Which is strange because every South Korean K-War movie shows Chinese troops killing ROK troops.

The classy attitude of TOJO and Tomoyuki yamashita and others during the trials shows that there was a big class gab between Japan and USA.

That old "ultra national spirit" is not dead after all.

Yes but it lives today in the CCP dictatorship. The only ones that harp on the J-right wing are CCP supporters. And we all know who is behind the J-right wing.

South Korea under the Yoon administration is without doubt willing to do what it takes to improve South Korea's own security. And so far he has been successful despite strong resistance from his domestic political adversaries. But it still remains to be seen whether South Korea is prepared to stand with the QUAD and other Asian nation's with respect to Taiwan and the South China Sea dispute.

The US should have also closed the Yasukuni Shrine to prevent the worship of 13 A-class war criminals.

More one sided rewriting of history. After the attack on Pearl Harbour the Japanese rounded up hundreds of Western people in Shanghai.

Not a comparison. The US also rounded up Germans. Japanese and Italian nationals as "enemy aliens".

The internment of J-A's in the US is an issue because most were US Citizens deprived of their rights guaranteed to them by the Constitution of the United States.

Totally off the mark. How many of those Western people were Japanese citizens living in Japan? The US did the same to foreign nationals of enemy states be it Germany Japan or Italy. The issue is the treatment of US citizens during WWII. Not enemy aliens.

I was last into muscle cars when I was still in high school. I had a Mustang Mach 1 with the 350 v8. Friends had Z28s. Cudas, Trans Ams. They were cool, fast, powerful, throaty, sexy and fun as hell. Then I grew up.

Muscle cars don't make good family cars, they can't carry all your play gear, and they can't handle severe weather conditions. A 486 bhp 5 liter engine is not going to give you good gas mileage.

Today muscle cars are a toy for the filthy rich who couldn't give a damn about money or the planet.

There's a reason that the world is all moving towards electric vehicles.

"The global average temperature for July 2023 was the highest on record and likely for at least 120,000 years, the UN weather agency and partners said on Tuesday."

A far better decision than the one made by rank and file Republicans who chose the most incapable, inexperienced and unfit person in US history to lead the country in 2016. The notion that they would let him destroy the country again is simply mind boggling.

While I think it's wrong, there is infinitely more anti-Japan propaganda emanating from the CCP than the other way around. You must be residing on another planet.

YubaruToday  07:22 pm JST

Incorrect. Over the last 30 years or so Japan has "reinterpreted" it's constitutional restraints to meet it's needs. To assist Taiwan, Japan would not be starting a war, which is prohibited under Paragraph 1 of Article 9. Furthermore, should assisting US forces come under Chinese attack, the JSDF would be authorized to act in Collective Defense which has already been recognized.

You miss the point totally. Japan doesnt need to "start" a war of aggression, and "reinterpretation" of the current constitution is open to discussion, and not based upon YOUR definition!.

Your response is as lacking in any substance as your first post. Read Article 9 for yourself first before declaring what is a violation or not.
