Uniqlo jeans are horrible in this regard. They fade and fall apart very quickly.

I KNOW you don't understand GPS technology either as it is called Intelligent Speed Assistance Technology or ISAT, that is used in conjunction with GPS.

So if you are going to make assumptions about something or someone, get your information correct first!

You’re right - and like I said, there is no reason not to put it in every motor vehicle. It will save lives.

Yubaru - I suppose you’re too old to understand GPS technology?

Not especially advanced technology already exists to keep speeds under the limit of whatever road a driver is on. This would save countless lives.

Victim blaming is disgusting.

There is really no good reason for speed limiters to not come installed in every passenger car sold.

Of those who died or were injured when riding a bicycle, 12.2 percent were wearing helmets, up 2.1 percentage points from the same period a year before and the highest level since comparable data became available

I hope the the families of the victims can find some consolation in the knowledge that their loved ones had been wearing a helmet when they were killed by a car or truck.

To strengthen measures to prevent accidents, bicyclists across all age groups have been urged to wear a helmet from April this year.

How would wearing a helmet prevent accidents? - unless it leads to fewer people cycling, and that's probably what we are seeing here as well. Not improved safety through anything effective like protected bike lanes or speed/red light sensors/cameras to enforce infractions by far more dangerous drivers in cars and trucks, but only measure designed to dissuade people from riding bikes.

From what I hear the trucking industry here is now scraping the bottom of the barrel for drivers. People have no interest in doing it. I’ve been told the industry is putting pressure on the government to allow special visas for foreign drivers.

You do know that China sent a spy balloon OVER the United States, right?

You do know the threat difference between a probably blown off course hunk of metal that may or may not have been used for spying, and warships and warplanes, right ?

It also follows a May 26 incident in which a Chinese fighter jet carried out what the United States called an "unnecessarily aggressive" maneuver near an American military plane over the South China Sea in international airspace.

An American military plane over the South China Sea isn't an "unnecessarily aggressive" maneuver?

No? It's international waters you say?

How about a Chinese fighter jet off the Hawaiian Islands or the coast of California?

The US is clearly trying to provoke China here. I'm American. It's wrong.
