Sad reality is stores like uniqlo etc are basically just selling GARBAGE, their stuff ends up in the trash real quick most of the time.

Japan is great for denim goods, lots of brands selling top notch stuff with denim in 15-25oz that LAST, costly but over time are worth it. You can even by MIJ levis that are much better then regular levis etc which are actually not that great anymore.

Same applies to other non clothing items, its scary how much stuff we buy that quickly ends up in the trash, needs to be reversed for sure!

Sadly typical, women getting away with violence etc & the man is made a fool of.

If roles were reversed the guy would have been put in a cell, but since the woman is the perp the cops are interested in what led to the violence, the violence itself gets a pass........need some equality here!

 Few seem to know that the Japanese were ready to surrender but that they wanted to keep the emperor as their head. The US policy was unconditional surrender.

I am sick of these BS bits about Japan willing to surrender, their ""terms"" were beyond rediculous!

The US insisting on unconditional surrender was absolutely ON POINT!!! And needed to happen, was the BEST outcome for Japan clearly!! Japan having killed between 20-30million in the Far East & SE Asia was in ZERO position to dictate ANYTHING!!

 The women I knew gave up what they were doing once they got their A.) teaching degree, and B.) doctorate. They went on to lead respected, productive lives. They did not hurt anyone, and they bettered their lives. They seemed to be well adjusted, to me, as well as hard working and, of course, beautiful. There were no drugs or coercion involved, other than the impetus to better themselves.

I hope these ladies freely share their pasts with boyfriends, husbands etc, but that is sadly highly unlikely, they will most likely lie about & then live lives based on lies, to everyone around them, kids, spouses, families, and it gets ugly quickly when the truth comes out.

So anyone doing this kind of work, please be honest about it

I have been shaking my head for 30+years now watching Japan continually getting it horribly WRONG wrt allowing foreigners here to actually stay & set up a life, possibly get permanent residency etc.....and we continue to see insipid little "improvements"....sigh!

I DONT recommend young people to come to Japan unless they only stay say a max of 2years otherwise you will seriously jeopardize your furture potential......

There will come a time(maybe already here) when even if young families have 3-4children the population will still decrease, I dont see Japan having even a slight chance of turning this one around without immigration

This is what I call a START, its long overdue that the West needs to start seriously re-evaluating what it does wrt China. The West has created the monster that China has become, it should have been obvious about 30yrs ago that investing in China was NOT going to make a China that was a better, more open, more democratc, the West should have started to cut investments in the early 2000's.

We are all now paying the price & it could get much much higher at any point in time, BUT the monster that China has become MUST be faced.....will it be now or later, the later we wait the higher the price that WILL be paid, scary times likely await!

I remember when my nephew was young he hated all veggies but loved shrooms, when visiting the topic came up & when I said shrooms were fungus my SIL almost ended me LOL( at the time 2 nephews basically lived on chips!)

Only to name a few services, they even give a big free virtual drive for free, as well as free resources for computing in the field of AI, like notebook interpreter Google Colab etc, also with bundled CPU or even GPU usage for bigger data projects, if wanted. Normal people never ever couldn’t afford such expensive resources with their no or only low personal budgets, if not generously provided by big players like Google.

You have got to be kidding google offers ""free"" stuff in order to MINE marketing data to sell etc. And keep the masses in their GRASP......google has become a massive problem & govts need to fine them more & BREAK up their companies, they have far far too much power because of all the ""free"" stuff they offer

About 3-4million Japanese(civilian & military) lost their lives due to their fanatical crazy leaders, they died in vain! Considering Japan killed between 20-30million in the Far East & SE Asia, Japan's loses were relatively low. Considering what Japan did in the 1930-40s they got off relatively easy & the allies, primarily the Yanks helped Japan re-build into the country we all now know & love!

BG is clearly GUILTY & should likely serve time in russia, perhaps 3-5yrs based on similar cases, end of story really, she needs to be ACCOUNTABLE for her actions!

Yes & no, you need to look at HOW the population is declining, its in two areas, the elderly & newborns, the later is REALLY going to bite hard over time, you need to look at the population pyramid, for Japan its VERY narrow at the bottom & getting narrower over time, with ZERO immigration those numbers rise over time & NEVER get wider, unless fixed Japan will keep decreasing & even if average birthrate were to increase per family the population overall will continue to decrease, it aint looking good long term for Japan

Women do not lie about DV. Deny, attack, reverse the victim and offender, is classic behavior. Domestic violence is a gendered issue - men hit women, men kill women, men sometime annihilate their families. When this happens, and the woman or the child is hurt badly or worse, you see commentators asking why didn't she leave, and blaming her for her own injury/death and that of her child. Whichever way, women cannot win. I am so very glad this woman won her freedom and custody of her children.
