Lessons are very often learn from history. Since the Medieval Warm Period occurred long before the Industrial Age (which discounts AGW altogether), perhaps some clues could be found in the century prior to the MWP.

The Earth is still in an Ice Age though having been in an Interglacial throughout human history.

That bright globe in the daytime sky is likely suspect.

The high price at the pump has nothing to do with "corporate greed" or any such socialist mumbo-jumbo, but it has EVERYTHING to do with MMT driving Japan's foolish loose-money policy. This foolishness is what has led directly to the sharply weakened yen. The result of THAT is the sharply increased real cost of imported goods(essentially ALL of Japan's energy sources!). Abenomics eventual predicted effect is having impacts now, further impoverishing the proletariat.

The J-Gov could ease the boot on the people's necks by REDUCING TAXES, especially the ludicrous fuels taxes!

Vaccine falsehoods...

Rather, many people simply just did not trust the experimental "vaccines".

Over the many years I've had many actual vaccines that prevented the specific illnesses(tuberculosis is one in particular) or actually built immunity (unlike flu shots).

Informed consent is quite a different thing from the recent misinformed societal pressure and essentially coerced "treatment".

People have the right to choose for themselves and to meet like-minded people.

This article is just a lame hit-piece on independent thinking people.

Is this Michael Mann, the creator of the debunked "hockey stick" graph?

One of the cadre of alarmists who predicted the end of Arctic ice and snow by the year 2000? And the "disappearance" of numerous nations, also by 2000?

A person, or people who make such a number of false predictions (due to the combination of falsified data and distorted computer modelling) can hardly be considered reliable by any sentient person.

Is it hot? Yes! Is it the "hottest on record"? Does this "record" exclude the 1920s & 1930s and completely ignore the Medieval Warm Period?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Non-Keynesian economists have been warning of the eventual effects of loose monetary policy for decades. What we are seeing, beginning to see, is the result of MMT, which Abenomics is a clear example. It's a race to the bottom. Of course, the politicians, all of them, are impervious as they live off the public coffers and their ancestors' wealth.

Reading Hayek's "Road To Serfdom" makes it easy to understand.

Posted in: Record heatwaves sweep world, from U.S. to Europe and Asia See in context

Let's see... It's mid-July in the Northern Hemisphere (known as Summer) during which time "heat waves" have been historically known to occur.

With advancing urbanization, the concentration of concrete and asphalt in the expanding metropoli augment solar heating. Coupled with the advancement of measuring technologies, placed in the newly urbanized areas, and it's no surprise that "record" readings occur. Localized changes in micro - climate are all the Earth is experiencing.

Posted in: Record-breaking heat bakes U.S., Europe, China See in context

One other factor that bears mention is the relocation of measuring stations from parks and other "green" areas, where they had been located for decades to new "urban" points surrounded by pavements. In some cases, the previous measuring station locations were absorbed by urbanization construction projects.

Expanded urban developments factor heavily into the changes in local microclimate conditions. Heat Islands have grown and increased both in number and proximity to others creating even larger Heat Islands.

One only has to observe the vast expansion of Tokyo proper since the late 1950s and the accelerated development of the surrounding areas, particularly Saitama.

Yes, urbanization is man-made.

It's much, much cooler in a well shaded area. I sat in the garden for a couple hours this afternoon rather comfortably. Why? Because there's a grove of trees, unpaved ground, and nothing to block airflow. It was easily 5°C cooler in the shade.

Now, imagine if there were an abundance of trees in Tokyo (and elsewhere) rather than a concrete jungle.
