I think that the guys in the above photographs look extremely funny. Anybody visiting the area and seeing them would be quite forgiven if they asked the question " what is the name of the movie that you are making ?".

It is because of this violation of human rights by the Japanese authorities, tht the UK will not extradite suspects back to Japan.

More one sided rewriting of history. After the attack on Pearl Harbour the Japanese rounded up hundreds of Western people in Shanghai. Bankers, businessmen. Some were interned at the infamous Bridge House in Shanghai. Japanese living in the US during the war were treated very well in comparison, an compensated years later.

@Wallace. Oppenheimer seems to be a remake of a 1980 two part TV movie screened in the UK. (By the way, I'm not far behind you, will be 70 on my next birthday, and sorry about your home in Liverpool). My family were fortunate in Southport during the war.

We watched Oppenheimer but we won't be watching Barbie.

Agreed. You a probably a middle aged man like myself, rather than s teenage girl. My granddaughter would probably enjoy Barbie, rather than something academic, in her young stage of life. Still can't fully work out the controversy.

Every world leader should visit and appreciate the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. It changed my life. Anyone not touched by it should be banned from public office.

So everybody democratically elected person in public office throughout the world should travel to Hiroshima, and be touched. Maybe they should also visit the Unit 731 Memorial Museum in Hubei, China and be touched. A stop had to be put to such evil, and the atomic bomb did just that. After all, Japan at that time knew all about collateral damage.

Anyone who justifies the dropping of 2 A-bombs on cities filled with civilians, old men, women and children to a military attack on a military naval base is short on intellectual capability.

Anyone who justified the actions of the Japanese Imperial Army and their atrocities against civilians, (including the actions of Unit 731) old men, women and children, against 2 A-bombs to end this is short on intellectual capability.

This movie Oppenheimer, seems to be a remake of a 2 part TV series screened in the UK in the mid 1970's. The series concentrated on the development of the atomic bomb, and the decision to use it. The was sa clip at the end (using original footage) showing injuries people being treated. This movie seems to be a remake.

If Japanese law, rule of law, and justice system was not so inept, and ( to put it bluntly) not such complete rubbish as it is, then vigilante's would not feel the need to take matters into their own hands.

Well Japan has come a long way since I first came to Japan. (More years than I care to remember). In the old immigration department at Otamachi and Sendagaya , staff were rude, obstructive, some even nasty. It was quite apparent that Japan did not want to share it's new found wealth of that time. Now that Japan is in decline attitudes seem to be in reverse. Strange times.

Japan's time as a leader was already very noticeably disappearing when I arrived here back in 1991 and has only gathered steam over time & will sadly continue unabated.

Japan's time as a leader was diminishing before 1991. I think it was around 1987.
