My suggestion is the old man was leveraging something against the young woman. She probably owed him money. Most murders are crimes of passion or financially connected followed by simple accidents (negligence). Then she had a breakdown and killed the old man. I would say she would have changed clothes in any case, because the ones worn during the beheading were drenched in blood. But that is just me....

Given that she lived with her wealthy family, I would assume she was definitely not working in adult industry.

According to the camera footage, only she and the victim were in the room, so who is "they"? Or are you suggesting self-decapitation?
